What do I do this for, to execute a war.
I wanna explain a single point like a unicorn.
I put on Christ, like some boots and a uniform.
And write a modern day psalm like a jewish poem.

I knock on my Father’s door, cause I know He’s home.
He answers me on the go, like a mobile phone.
I’m in the zone, being prideful is far fetched,
but then I end up choking him out like I’m Artest.

So what do I do this for, is it for recognition.
I’m trying to add up all the numbers like a mathematician.
Sit back and listen, focus trying to see clear.
What are my trust issues, and do I bleed fear?

We don’t have a spirit of fear, but a sound mind,
Love should overcome, like the courage of mountain lion.
I can’t force the crying, I can’t force compassion.
It’s about saving souls, not about the rapping.

So what I do this for, I’m trying to reach one.
I keep my eyes to the sky, to compromise the reason.
I throw on handcuffs, bondservant, not a slave.
Married to the lamb, full of light, like an arcade.

But ain’t no child’s play, I’m too grown for that.
I have a wife and 3 kids, carried on my back.
Christ said, pick up your cross, well I got mine.
I stop and roll, like a California stop sign.

So why I do this for, the answer isn’t will.
I keep it 100, old heads, keep it real.
It’s all about a choice, because the will is His.
I can reject or accept, it’s called a realist.

Or call it radical, overdose, whatever man.
I’m going in full circles, like the shape of a wedding band.
Heart of an irish, the faith of a Mexican.
Jesus the Rabbi, I bow to my reverend.

Every tear I cry, Every word I can’t utter.
The Paraclete speaks, like Aaron covered Moses’ Stutter.
And He’s so patient, no matter what I’m facing.
I’m feeling overwhelmed, this is my opening statement.
