Tell Me Where I’d Go
Written by: Anthony Eugene Ramirez
Tell me where I’d go, been flirting with a split with this rap thing.
Ever since I reevaluated, changing everything.
My man Ron, said there’s passion in the pain,
But the passion and the pain don’t match the slashes that He gained.
Separation Anxiety, it’s all a sign to me,
Not the signs and wonders sought by faithless and apostasies.
But all the damage, and the hatred, and apologies,
Don’t add up with the numbers, where the zeros and the commas be.
Struggling to sleep on it, wrestle with these pillows.
Wake up, feeling brainless like a surgeon’s in my neuros.
All I know is day in, day out, breath in, breath out,
Typing on this white screen, this therapeutic penpal.
I used to love her, flash in the halogens.
Eating what they feeding, but there’s cancers in the allergens.
Hopelessly, need to change my environment,
Feeling like Marshawn Lynch’s Twitter Retirement.
Chorus:
Tell Me Where I’d Go,
All the way, the other side of oblivion,
Cross the states, cross the heavens, whether right or wrong.
I keep my eyes on the mountaintop, counting what I lost,
As joy, paid my cost, Tell Me Where I’d Go.
When 30 years of life spells a death sentence,
Looking for signs of life, from failures in a test kitchen.
What’s the purpose, to be the next household name.
To lure kids with songs something like crack cocaine.
That’s kind of not my thing, not here for entertainment.
I’m kind of Charles Spurgeon, preaching on Revelation.
I’m a mouthpiece, chosen for this generation.
Just to be an example of faith, regardless what they’re saying.
So if that equates, as counted as being something great.
Then Glory to the Father of Lights, worship and give Him Praise.
This ain’t my cup of tea, wasn’t even made for me.
Was made to glorify the King and His Majesty.
But it was hijacked, assaulted causing battery,
For satan and his motives, and his selfish tenacities.
So I’m here to take it back, until I fade to black,
I’ll push this motor until I crash, so tell me where I’d go.
Bridge:
He gave me life and He saved my soul.
He took a broken being and He made him whole.
And He will do the same, for all of those that thirst for more.
Swallow Pride, Give Him full control, Tell me where I’d go (2x)
